Could someone help with this problem I am having?

Data looks like this:

Name            Address             City          State

Name            Address             City                           State

Name           Address              City     State

What I am trying to do is strip the white spaces between  City and State

Global $iData
_FileReadToArray('C:\Temp\temp.txt', $iData)
Local $iFinalData[UBound($iData)]
For $i = 0 To UBound($iData) -1
    $iFinalData[$i] = StringReplace($iData[$i], "STATE", StringStripWS("STATE", $STR_STRIPALL), 0)
Next
_FileWriteFromArray('C:\Temp\temp.txt', $iFinalData, Default, Default)

The above code does not strip the white spaces.   Where am I going wrong?    Thank you

?

$iFinalData[$i] = StringRegExpReplace($iData[$i], "City\h+(?=State)", " ")

Edit : Sorry, but I'm not sure to understand ; these lines must be the same in the whole file or it's just an example ?

I'd even add: provide as well in high priority the most pathological examples you can find/imagine.

Let me start and tell us how you're going to determine what are the different components of this record (guessing US):

Hi

There are other resources, but this may help explain the problem https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whitespace_character.

What you are seeing as white space may be TABs or HTML   or who knows what else.

Try opening that file with Notepad ++ from here https://notepad-plus-plus.org/

and see what is in there.
