WardowFujita Posted November 16, 2016 Share Posted November 16, 2016 Hello, Due to the technical properties of AutoIt and the way the compiled executable binaries operate, it is relatively easy to recover a script from a compiled binary which makes distribution of closed-source applications, and it is hard to make those closed-source applications, stay closed source. We decided to rely on Obfuscation as a solution to such problem, and it would be relatively easier to develop obfuscation and properly parse and process AutoIt source code if the official AutoIt Project would be to release the source code parser, such as the componements that had to be made in order to make syntax checks in Au3Check.exe Tool. I would like to ask if this is a possibillity of open-sourcing the AutoIt source code parser and maintain the release with the new versions of AutoIt scripts. This topic has been discussed ad nauseam on this forum; nothing is going to keep a determined person from decompiling AutoIt code.
