Cleaner Array Assignment?

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone, I have been searching around on the forums for help to point me on the right track and have gotten far with my current project.

Backstory for variable choice, in case it helps for finding a better solution to my "problem"

I decided to make an array with predefined values of 0, just to make it easy to call later. (forgive my lack of "variable declaration best practices")

What I need to do with these arrays (or any other method) is use them as pointers for x1, x2, y1, y2 coordinates for PixelSearch.
I attempted this with a string like "777,844,904,899" however, autoit promptly told me I didn't have enough variables to pass through PixelSearch. (which is why I decided to make an array.)

Anyways, the question here is: (and I apologize if this has been answered already, or I just didn't find the right info)
are there really no ways to assign values in an array on the same line? (other than the first time declaring it.)
If not is there a way to make a string act like 4 variables like mentioned above, or is my code just going to have to bloat for the 20+ (x4) locations I need to change between to get my second function to work correctly?

here is a snippet of code to help explain what I am talking about

GeeEssBeeEss,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum.

Unfortunately you appear to have missed the Forum rules on your way in. Please read them now - particularly the bit about not discussing game automation - and then you will understand why you will get no help and this thread will now be locked.

See you soon with a legitimate question I hope.
