JasperKimmel
Hi there, I want to show an image but it shows nothing. I tried a .BMP, .JPG, .GIF file. I tried it on a different computer. But still the issue is the same. I even tried two codes. The first one is: FileInstall("g:\systeembeheer\scripts\AutoIT Scripts\BatchPC\error.bmp",@TempDir & "\error.gif",1) SplashImageOn("",@TempDir & "\error.gif") Sleep(10000) Splashoff() This simply doesn't show anything. The 2nd code I tried is: FileInstall("g:\systeembeheer\scripts\AutoIT Scripts\BatchPC\error.bmp",@TempDir & "\error.gif",1) $hGUI = GUICreate("Error", 500, 500) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW, $hGUI) Sleep(10000) GUISetState(@SW_HIDE, $hGUI) This shows an empty GUI window. JasperKimmel
As an addition I checked the %temp% folder and the file is there and can be opened by Windows.
BrewManNH
Why are you saving a BMP file with a GIF extension? The first code works for me with a local image file, so no idea why it's not working for you. The second code won't show the image because you never put in a control needed to show it. You'd need a GUICtrlCreatePic control in there with the image file set to it. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. JasperKimmel
Hi BrewmanNH, I'm sorry I made a mess of all the code in my post. I did not copy all lines into the post. After all I fixed it by using a Form Designer. It had probably something to do with the $hGUI variable. Leaving this out the GUISETSTATE command worked for me. Thanks for your help
