kalavo
Hello, I have two concurrent AutoIt processes. Process "A" occasionally makes a change to the registry that I want process "B" to quickly pick up on. I could get process B to check the registry value every 100ms. However, I would prefer a neater event driven way of getting process B to invoke a function that reads the registry value when process A changes it. i.e. Process A sets an event aswell as changing the registry. Process B can't just sit waiting on an event because it has other work to get on with. Is there a way I can achieve this with AutoIt? Thanks Kalavo
Moderators Melba23 Posted December 30, 2016 Moderators Share Posted December 30, 2016 kalavo, Search the forum for "Inter process communication". My personal favourite is MailSlot - you can read all about it in this thread, and I posted a test script in this one. kalavo
Thanks M23, I did search before I posted but I guess I didn't look hard enough. I think using WM_COPYDATA is going to be the best solution for my situation and have found a few examples on the forum. Cheers Kalavo
