How about some of the most basic information before expecting people to troubleshoot an issue for you: Laptop Manufacturer and Model Age of the laptop Original Battery or replacement? Is the time still correct when you turn it back on? Are you doing anything specific when it dies (watching video, internet, etc.) that points to a pattern? When did this start? How many times has it happened? Lastly, while we have a community willing to help on a variety of different subjects, this is not a hardware forum but a AutoIT* scripting forum. The best place to ask a question about a laptop battery is a forum dedicated to your brand and model of laptop. I've got a few questions myself, some of which echo/augment questions above: Does the laptop turn off while you are using it? If it is while you are away, what are your Power options set to (On battery & Plugged in)? Is it a hard shutdown, or graceful (does it show it's shutting down/when turned on does it say Windows Error Recovery - did not shutdown properly)? If it is just turning off while using it, it could be an overheating issue. Does your exhaust vent or underside of your laptop feel Hot?
