Outlook replacement

Hi everyone,

 

On server I have application witch is using MS Outlook to sending e-mails with attachments. This application is not mine and I don't have access to source code.

I have an idea to replace MS Outlook with my own application to send e-mails. Of course my application should works with simple mapi but I don't have any idea how to start. I have been searching forum but not found any usefull informations.

 

What I sholud to know?

Any suggestions?

I know how to send e-mail from own script. I'm searching for information how to detect how application is communicate with mail client to replace mail client.

Do you then want to uninstall Outlook from the server?

Excatly.

I'm not sure that the application will still work then. You uninstall the Outlook related libraries as well which might get called by your application.

Application works with Thunderbird as well. Is that usefull information for you? Mabye application is using some system libraries not mail client?
