@phantomjunior not sure what you mean. If you have downloaded the full version of SciTE, in the language menu the very first option should be AutoIt2 (.au3). Are you not seeing this?

I'm talking about SciTE 3.7.4 not SciTE4AutoIt3.

That is defined in the SciTEGlobal.properties. Please remember that Neil's version of the au3lexer is quite old. I have not bothered submitting updates since is is by defaukt disabled and am maintaining my own version based on his source.

No it is not and i've already pointed you in the right directory. This is the bottom section of SciTEGlobal.properties which clearly states why au3.properties doesn't work:

# To keep menus short, these .properties files are not loaded by default.
imports.exclude=abaqus asl asn1 au3 avenue avs baan blitzbasic bullant \
cobol cmake csound ecl escript flagship forth freebasic gap haskell inno \
kix latex lot lout metapost mmixal modula3 nimrod nncrontab nsis \
opal oscript powerpro powershell purebasic r rebol rust \
scriptol smalltalk sorcins spice specman \
tacl tal txt2tags verilog vhdl
# Newly removed: ave baan escript lot metapost mmixal
# The set of imports allowed can be set with
#imports.include=ave

# Import all the language specific properties files in this directory
import *
