today i found that the listview can contain only 2000 item

Strange... this works for me

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

GUICreate("listview items", 220, 550)
$idListview = GUICtrlCreateListView("col1|col2", 10, 10, 200, 500)
For $i = 1 to 50000
   GUICtrlCreateListViewItem($i & "|item" & $i, $idListview)
Next
GUISetState()

While 1
   Switch GUIGetMsg()
      Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
        ExitLoop
   EndSwitch
WEnd

LerN,

The limit for the number of control id's you can have is 64K.  This is normally what is exceeded by large listviews.  You should not be reaching that limit with just 10,000 rows.  Post your code or a reproducer for further help, or, better, use a virtual listview (as mikell pointed out above).

Don't use the AutoIt Listview commands, use the GUIListview UDF commands, then you can have as many elements as you want, up to the Windows limit.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
