portabletelly
HI All, First time poster. Ive been working on my script for 4 days now and have searched thru the forums and tried just about every thing. Any way the website when I inspect the element looks like this <select name="ctl00$cphContent$Services1$ReachMe1$b3$ddlDnd" id="ctl00_cphContent_Services1_ReachMe1_b3_ddlDnd" onchange="javascript:Anthem_FireCallBackEvent(this,event,'ctl00$cphContent$Services1$ReachMe1$b3$ddlDnd','',false,'','','',false,null,null,null,true,true);return false;" style="width:120px;"> <option selected="selected" value=""></option> <option value="Add a Number">Add a Number</option> <option value="1234">1234</option> <option value="0421004xxx">0421 004 xxx</option> </select> My full auto it script is below expandcollapse popup#include <IE.au3> Call ("signIn") Call ("services") Call ("reachme") Call ("reachmefwd") Call ("reachmenum") Func signIn () Global $oIE = _IECreate ("https://my.engin.com.au") WinWait("engin selfcare - Internet Explorer") WinSetState("engin selfcare - Internet Explorer","",@SW_MAXIMIZE) Local $username = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE, "ctl00$cphContent$Login1$b1$txtUsername") Local $password = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE, "ctl00$cphContent$Login1$b1$txtPassword") Local $Submit = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE, "ctl00$cphContent$Login1$b1$btnLogin") ;~ WinWait("engin selfcare - Internet Explorer") ;~ WinSetState("engin selfcare - Internet Explorer","",@SW_MAXIMIZE) _IEFormElementSetValue ($username, "1010xxxx") _IEFormElementSetValue ($password, "xxxxxxx") _IEAction ($Submit, "click") EndFunc Func services () sleep(8000) Local $servicesbtn = _IEGetObjByID ($oIE, "ctl00_cphTopMenu_TopMenu1_btnServices") _IEAction ($servicesbtn, "click") EndFunc Func reachme() sleep(6000) Local $reachmebtn = _IEGetObjByName ($oIE, "ctl00$cphContent$Services1$ServiceMenu1$btnReachMe") _IEAction ($reachmebtn, "click") EndFunc Func reachmefwd() sleep(4000) Local $reachmeradiobtn = _IEGetObjById ($oIE, "ctl00_cphContent_Services1_ReachMe1_b3_btnForwardAll") _IEAction ($reachmeradiobtn, "click") ;~ _IEFormElementRadioSelect ($oIE,1, "id=ctl00_cphContent_Services1_ReachMe1_b3_btnForwardAll", 1, "byIndex") Endfunc Func reachmenum() Local $reachmedrop = _IEGetObjById ($oIE, "Anthem_ctl00_cphContent_Services1_ReachMe1_b3_ddlDnd__") Local $reachmedropSelect = _IETagNameGetCollection($reachmedrop, "Select", 0) $reachmedropSelect.focus _IEFormElementOptionSelect($reachmedropSelect, "0421004xxx", 1, "byVaule") sleep(2000) Endfunc Ive tried just about everything on this function reachmenum() so it probley just needs to be looked at with a fresh set of eyes. This is the only part in the script that doesn't work. Func reachmenum() Local $reachmedrop = _IEGetObjById ($oIE, "Anthem_ctl00_cphContent_Services1_ReachMe1_b3_ddlDnd__") Local $reachmedropSelect = _IETagNameGetCollection($reachmedrop, "Select", 0) $reachmedropSelect.focus _IEFormElementOptionSelect($reachmedropSelect, "0421004xxx", 1, "byVaule") sleep(2000) Endfunc
Danp2
Can you explain why you are doing this Local $reachmedrop = _IEGetObjById ($oIE, "Anthem_ctl00_cphContent_Services1_ReachMe1_b3_ddlDnd__") Local $reachmedropSelect = _IETagNameGetCollection($reachmedrop, "Select", 0) instead of retrieving the Select by ID? _IEFormElementOptionSelect($reachmedropSelect, "0421004xxx", 1, "byVaule") Also, you've misspelled "byValue", so that could be why it's failing. portabletelly
I originally tried it that way. But it failed. After the script would run it it seemed the issue was that it didnt even get focus of the drop down. Because if u manually mouse click on dropdown it goes blue. And when running the script it never gets focus, let alone selecting the correct value.

portabletelly
DanP2: I changed the code to Func reachmenum() Local $reachmedrop = _IEGetObjById ($oIE, "Anthem_ctl00_cphContent_Services1_ReachMe1_b3_ddlDnd__") Local $reachmedropSelect = _IETagNameGetCollection($reachmedrop, "Select", 0) $reachmedropSelect.focus _IEFormElementOptionSelect($reachmedropSelect, "04210***", 1, "byValue") sleep(2000) Endfunc Still doesnt work Inververs: Do you have an example of this? Danp2
8 hours ago, portabletelly said: _IEFormElementOptionSelect($reachmedropSelect, "04210***", 1, "byValue") Previously you gave a value of "0421004xxx". Which one is correct? P.S. You have us at a disadvantage because you care the only one that can test the script. Therefore, we depend on you to provide enough details so that we can assist you. Stating "doesn't work" isn't really helpful in this scenario. Latest Webdriver UDF Release Webdriver Wiki FAQs
