Solved Check if Access is in use

I am using the attached file to build a connection to MS Access. This is part of an application I am building and we are using Access just as a proof of concept. The issue I am having is occasionally two people are trying to write at the same time. Is is possible to see if Access is in use before proceeding?

You can check if msaccess.exe is running with ProcessExist

I found what I needed.

$conn.State = 1

Actually I was wrong it will still fail on $conn.Open($DSN) and I cannot check the state until it is open.

What is the value of @error and @extended after the connection fails? Usually this tells you what went wrong.

First off Water big fan. Thanks for taking a look at my question. 

I have not used  @error and @extended so I hope I am using them correctly. I added like this.

$conn.Open($DSN)
If @error Then MsgBox(0,"",@error & @CR & @extended)

I get back:

-2147352567

If you are in the beginning, try my ADO.au3 UDF (look in my signature), It will allow you to save a lot of time and trouble.

Thanks mLipok. Seeing how you handle the error checking when opening the connection is what I needed.
