How to search if a dll is in use?

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I am trying to upgrade Adobe Acrobat Reader DC but some of the installs are failing because "AcroRd32.dll" is in use.  My script is already checking if "AcroRd32.exe" is running but some computers are failing because "AcroRd32.dll" is in use.

How can I go about to see if that dll is loaded.

What do you see if you do a tasklist /m AcroRd32.dll at the command line? This should show you the offending process locking the dll
