Yes.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.

@gblss Please pay attention to where you post in the future. The DEV forum very clearly states:

BrewManNH, LOL. funny.

gblis,

you can look at your newly copied files using this _FileListToArray UDF

https://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/libfunctions/_FileListToArray.htm

to get a 'list' of the files you copied. FileCopy does not return the name of the files.

you could use my BackupFiles UDF, it returns the file or directory it is copying. After you give it a target and destination and optional filespec (*.c or whatever) it returns the path to the copied files.

next open that path and run a directory commend

dir /l /b *.* > file.txt

or something like that. Or you could use that  _FileListToArray UDF  I mentioned above to give you an array of the files in that path and verify it in a loop.

I have included a small test and you can put in a source path and destination path of your own. if you do not specify a filespec argument, i.e. what type of files to copy (you can use wildcards or a full filename) then the entire soruce path gets copied to destination. If an error happens, it logs it and returns and empty string

BackupFiles.au3

log4a.au3

test.au3
