NoEyeDeer
Hello all, I ended up here after watching a youtube video that is some years old. I was trying to find out how easy it would be to create a "bot" I ended up here after watching a youtube video that is some years old. I soon learned that this is way beyond my scope. I should tell you that although I am not special needs I had a stroke in 2012 and retaining all that info is now just beyond me. So I have some questions. Can this software be used to create a bot ? Is the software able to read constantly updating info on a webpage ? Am I allowed to post links ? Specifically to a page I want the bot to operate on ? Am I allowed to ask people here if they would be interested in working on a bot ? I will post more details once I know if it is allowed or not. Thank you,
Moderators Melba23 Posted November 10, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 10, 2017 NoEyeDeer, Welcome to the AutoIt forums. As long as the "bot" you want to create does not fall foul of the Forum rules you can ask whatever you wish. NoEyeDeer
Ok thank you I could not find that rule page, however the bot was for a dice game so I would fall foul of the rules. Thank you anyway.
Moderators Melba23 Posted November 10, 2017 Moderators Share Posted November 10, 2017 NoEyeDeer, Sorry to hear that. But as a casual glance through the forum will show, you can use AutoIt for so much more than merely botting games, so I hope we might see you again one day with a legitimate question.
