Page2PagePro
Using: SciTE Version 3.7.3 Feb 16 2017 SciTE.exe Autoit 3.3.14.2 Aut2exe.exe When using object methods is there a means to allow the SciTE double-click on variable highlighting to "Stop On Period"? (similar to highlight.current.word.stoponspace). Currently, double-clicking to highlight will encompass the $var + ".method". Example: Global $oFruit = ObjCreate("Scripting.Dictionary") $oFruit.Add("apple", "red") $oFruit.Add("banana", "yellow") $oFruit.Add("pear", "green") Global $oFruitItems = $oFruit.Items Global $oFruitKeys = $oFruit.Keys ;~ Global $iCount = UBound($oFruitKeys) Global $iCount = $oFruit.Count ConsoleWrite($oFruitKeys[0] & " = " & $oFruitItems[0] & @CR) ConsoleWrite("Count = " & $iCount & @CR) Double-clicking the 1st line "$oFruit" does properly highlight all instances of variable (see attached). However, double-clicking the 2nd line "$oFruit" highlights the variable, the dot-separator and the "Add" method. Can Jos or another direct me to a solution within "PersonalTools.lua" perhaps? BrewManNH
The highlight option in the properties file doesn't refer to double click highlighting, it refers to what else gets highlighted when you highlight something. Developers Jos Posted January 29, 2018 Developers Share Posted January 29, 2018 (edited) In au3properties is defined which characters are considered to determine a word: word.characters.$(au3)=$(chars.alpha)$(chars.numeric)$(chars.accented).$_@# Add this to your SciTEUser.properties and you will see it stops at the dot: word.characters.$(au3)=$(chars.alpha)$(chars.numeric)$(chars.accented)$_@# Don't know for sure what you will break but that is the way SciTE works as far as I know. Page2PagePro
Jos, that worked perfect. I'll update if I notice something else breaking as a result. Thank you kindly for the quick response!
