ControlClick vs MouseClick

Does anyone know why

ControlClick($WinName, "", "", "primary", "1", $x1, $y1)

works, I'd say 60% of the time but

MouseClick($MOUSE_CLICK_PRIMARY, $x1, $y1, 1)

works 100% of the time.

$x1 & $y1 have the same coordinates as I call the same function. When I comment out "ControlClick" and activate "MouseClick" it always works, just trying to see if there is something I am missing or some over path I can take.

Func iSearch_Click($FileName, $T_X, $T_Y, $B_X, $B_Y)
    Do
        $result = _ImageSearchArea($FileName, 1, $T_X, $T_Y, $B_X, $B_Y, $x1, $y1, 10, 0)
        If $result = 1 Then
            ControlClick($WinName, "", "", "primary", "1", $x1, $y1)
            ;MouseClick($MOUSE_CLICK_PRIMARY, $x1, $y1, 1)
            Sleep(100)
        EndIf
    Until $result = 1
EndFunc

I am just trying to not have the mouse move to the spot and then click, I'd rather it be 100% independent of the mouse.

What happens with ControlClick if you remove the $x and $y vars? If you're just using a ControlClick on a control you don't need the coordinates.

There are several different options to "click" on which is why I am doing an ImageSearch to get the $x & $y vars to state which "box" to click

I call this function a total of 5 times and the 1st & 2nd attempt, it clicks the correct box, 3rd time it doesn't, 4th yes and 5th no.

I just added "MouseMove($x1, $y1, 1)"  into the if statement and the mouse moves to the correct spot 100% of the time, so I do not know what else to do

Is this a program you're interacting with, a web page, etc.?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

@BigDaddyO rather than throwing out a dozen possibilities based on a guess of what the OP is trying to do, it is usually better to let them explain it to us so we can help.

@Yirrlaar as BrewManNH has asked, we can only help with a detailed description of what you are trying to do. What app/webpage/etc are you trying to automate? What does the image look like that you are trying to do the search on? Why do you need to do it 5 times? Help us help you.

Sorry for the confusion but I figured it out, there was a window offset I was not including in the ControlClick fucntion.

MouseClick($MOUSE_CLICK_PRIMARY, $x1, $y1, 1)
ControlClick($WinName, "", "", "primary", "1", $x1-$xoffset, $y1-$yoffset)

I was looking into the dimensions of specific box vs the actual window background, once I had figured that out, things went swimmingly.
