Trouble with a while and if statement

Recommended Posts

Hi

Running my tests I've found my application (Elite) crashes after 8 tests or so. It's because it's a bit buggy.

So I wanted to write a while loop that basically runs my function unless the non responsive box comes up (elite crashes)

Func Add_A_Matter($ClientNumber,$MatterNumber)

While 1
   if WinExists(["CLASS:DirectUIHWND1"]) then
;Wait 10 seconds before killing the application
      Sleep(10000)
      if WinExists(["CLASS:DirectUIHWND1"]) then
         ;restart elite
        ProcessClose("Enterprise.exe")
        Else
         EndIf
      Else

; Add a matter functions blah blah

     EndIf
      ExitLoop
   WEnd

EndFunc

The above looks ok to me but I'm getting error in expression

"C:\EliteAutomation\Tests\TEST2_Add_A_Matter.au3" (10) : ==> Error in expression.:
if WinExists(["CLASS:DirectUIHWND1"]) then
if WinExists(^ ERROR
>Exit code: 1    Time: 1.084

Just an FYI to the OP, neither of those Else statements are needed unless you're putting something in there before the EndIf.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.
