seryth
I have, what should be, a simple task for AutoIT..... I have several Excel workbooks with macros in them. Included in those macros is code to close it when its done. I want AutoIT to open one, wait until its closed, and then open the next one. After digging around I tried the following Code run ('C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\EXCEL.EXE "/location/file.xlsm"') While WinExists("file.xlsm - Excel") sleep(700) WEnd run ('C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\EXCEL.EXE "/location/file2.xlsm"') and I have also tried run ('C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\EXCEL.EXE "/location/file.xlsm"') WinWaitClose("file.xlsm - Excel","",30) run ('C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office15\EXCEL.EXE "/location/file2.xlsm"') Neither one of these is waiting until the other window closes. As soon as the splash screen closes and the workbook is opened the next workbook in the list opens. Am I missing something?
water
You could use the Excel UDF that comes with AutoIt. Then run _Excel_BookList in a loop until the workbook does not show up any longer.
