TheCrimsonCrusader
Greetings, After I click on the button in the below sample code, it remains outlined as if selected. I messed with the various styles and exStyles, but I didn't have any luck. How do I get i where I click on it, it returns back to it's previous look? The button currently isn't assigned to a function, I am just trying to figure out it's visual behavior. Thanks in advance! #include <GuiButton.au3> Local $hGUI $hGUI = GUICreate("Title Bar", 400, 400) GUICtrlCreateButton("Button", 50, 50, 90, 50) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) While 1 Sleep(1000) Wend
BrewManNH
Maybe this UDF will help. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. TheCrimsonCrusader
I saved that UDF and just tried the sample script on that same link to try for that UDF and it exhibits the same behavior. Thanks for the attempt though.
Moderators Melba23 Posted April 4, 2018 Moderators Share Posted April 4, 2018 TheCrimsonCrusader, What you are seeing is normal Windows behaviour - the button stays focused as it is the only focusable (?) control. If you create another hidden control then you can return the main button to its unfocused state: #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> #include <MsgBoxConstants.au3> Local $hGUI $hGUI = GUICreate("Title Bar", 400, 400) $cButton_Main = GUICtrlCreateButton("Button", 50, 50, 90, 50) $cButton_Dummy = GUICtrlCreateButton("", 50, -50, 90, 50) GUISetState(@SW_SHOW) While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit Case $cButton_Main GUICtrlSetState($cButton_Dummy, $GUI_FOCUS) MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "Hi", "Button pressed") EndSwitch WEnd M23 Any of my own code posted anywhere on the forum is available for use by others without any restriction of any kind Open spoiler to see my UDFs: Spoiler ArrayMultiColSort ---- Sort arrays on multiple columnsChooseFileFolder ---- Single and multiple selections from specified path treeview listingDate_Time_Convert -- Easily convert date/time formats, including the language usedExtMsgBox --------- A highly customisable replacement for MsgBoxGUIExtender -------- Extend and retract multiple sections within a GUIGUIFrame ---------- Subdivide GUIs into many adjustable framesGUIListViewEx ------- Insert, delete, move, drag, sort, edit and colour ListView itemsGUITreeViewEx ------ Check/clear parent and child checkboxes in a TreeViewMarquee ----------- Scrolling tickertape GUIsNoFocusLines ------- Remove the dotted focus lines from buttons, sliders, radios and checkboxesNotify ------------- Small notifications on the edge of the displayScrollbars ----------Automatically sized scrollbars with a single commandStringSize ---------- Automatically size controls to fit textToast -------------- Small GUIs which pop out of the notification area
