Vitaliy4us
It is possible to create an object from IE application (method ObjCreate("InternetExplorer.Application") is used for this aim): $oIE = _IECreate(URL) and then to have an access to DOM document object: $oDoc = $oIE.document Is there any way to do the same for Chrome and FireFox? Yes, I know that chrome.au3 library is available. But my question is different. I'd like to know is it possible to get DOM document object in the same way as IE.au3 does. You can easily avoid using IE.au3 to get document object from Internet Explorer: Local $oIE = ObjCreate("InternetExplorer.Application") $oIE.visible = 1 $oIE.navigate("www.google.com") Sleep(5000) $oDoc = $oIE.document Is there any way to do the same for Chrome? Please provide a detailed explanation so that we can better assist you. IE provides the possibility to get document object without any additional libraries or UDF. And having this object you are able to do everything. It means no JSON, no HTTP, no web driver, nothing else is necessary. Very simple, just because the object ObjCreate("InternetExplorer.Application") could be created. As far as I can see, no other browser allows to do the same. Because of this we need all those UDFs (and you did this great job, thank you). So I'd like to know what is the difference between the browsers and why it happens. Danp2
Probably has to do with Microsoft's support of ActiveX, while other browser developers chose a different implementation. Latest Webdriver UDF Release Webdriver Wiki FAQs
