Attaching a file into a PDF

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I wondered if maybe anyone of you could help me. I never used AutoIt in my life before, till this point I always used Java or C#. But at my Internship they asked me to make a program, that attaches a file into a pdf. I already maked a GUI and you can choose the files, but I can't seem to find a way to actually attach that chosen file to the chosen pdf. Has anyone any Tipps for me?

Thank you!

Try my QucikPDF.au3 UDF

and this function:

; #FUNCTION# ====================================================================================================================
; Name ..........: _QPDF_EmbedFileToPDFFile
; Description ...: Embeds a file into the PDF document and creates a file attachment link to the embedded file.
; Syntax ........: _QPDF_EmbedFileToPDFFile($sPDF_FileFullPath, $sPDF_Password, $sTitle, $sFileFullPath, $sMIMEType)
; Parameters ....: $sPDF_FileFullPath   - a string value.
;                  $sPDF_Password       - a string value.
;                  $sTitle              - a string value. A unique title for this file. No two files can have the same title. If a file with this title already exists in the document the new file will not be embedded.
;                  $sFileFullPath       - a string value. The full path and name of the file to embed.
;                  $sMIMEType           - a string value. The optional MIME type of the file, for example "image/jpg" for a JPEG image. See http://www.iana.org/assignments/media-types/ for a full list of MIME types. If the MIME type is not known it can be set to an empty string.
; Return values .:
;                  0    The file could not be embedded. Use the _QPDF_LastErrorCode() function to determine the cause of the failure.
;                  1    The file was embedded successfully
; Author ........: mLipok
; Modified ......:
; Remarks .......: The file can then be accessed in Acrobat under the File Attachments function.
