Outlook last mail header's

@water Tips please ? 

 

I whould like to check a mail box. Check each mails that is coming and also 'Do' if a particular tag is in the mail subject. 

 

Well i know I am gonna use 'RegExp' with '_OL_MailheaderGet' from the outlook UDF

 

And i already tryed them. But when i tryed '_OL_MailheaderGet' If i use the patterne [0] I will get the first mail received. 

 

Any way to get the last mail received header ? without doing an UBound (may i ll have somthing like 500 mails to unbound...) ? 

Or i am using the function wrong ?

You could simply do something like:

$arrEmails[UBound($arrEmails) - 1] ; This will get you the last array element

Use _OL_ItemFind to retrieve all mails received in the last x days, sort them by receivedtime and grab the last entry in the array.
_OL_MailheaderGet is not needed.

@water Thx for leading me to the good way.  

But i cant find where to check and how to check about how to get the correct syntaxt to find the mail count and/or list

 

I tryed to play with :

$aItems = _OL_ItemFind($oOutlook,"*\Inbox\MDAT",$olMail,"","","","EntryID","",0,"")

This too : 

$aItems = _OL_ItemFind($oOutlook,$vFolder,$olMail,"","","","EntryID","",0,"")

With return error : 

"C:\Users\GUEMARA-Spie\Desktop\Nouveau AutoIt v3 Script.au3" (18) : ==> Variable used without being declared.:
$aItems = _OL_ItemFind($oOutlook,$vFolder,$olMail,"","","","EntryID","",0,"")
$aItems = _OL_ItemFind($oOutlook,^ ERROR

Logic since i dont know what to put insteed of $vFolder

0 success.

@water just a lil question

 

I was testing that little script to know probable issue and i was right becose i just had a problem.

 

On my box it is working very well i have the last mail received. 

But i have tryed it on a random user mail box. 

 

His mail box look like this : 

 

>Inbox - 5 Mail 

            >Folder1 15 mails 

            >Folder2 15 mails

            >Folder3 15 mails

 

If i run the sript on his box it will return the last mail of folder1 insteed of last inbox mail

Any tips to correct this or play with it ? 

I guess the answer is here :

$aFolder[1]

@water Damn ... lol. Look so easy for you. give me your skills please  . Welll... My script is working in 15 seconds... Your is working in 0.32... I am gonna use that ^^. But wait i am gonna try that on the same user.

What might be needed is to check the type of item because the last item does not necessarily be a mail item.
If this is true then use method GetNext in a loop until the item type is what you need.

I dont mind about this becose i am gonna check each item with the header's name and do something if i have a tag like : [PAM] or [DEV] in the header.  

So a different item type does not disturb me. 

 

The purpose of the script is to Get mail Read Mail send an other mail if it found any wanted tag. 

 

Nothing anymore.
