Simple code stops executing next line

A function to send a hotkey Ctrl+Shift+K , sends the down keys, but once the application (listary) launches, autoit stops executing any further commands/lines in the function. This includes sending simple letter keys OR sending the UP keys.

afaik this is not a send() problem about CTRL_UP not being send , as said in the faq. This seems to be a different problem. Sleep(10)  doesn't help either.

Func listary()
    Send ("{CTRLDOWN}")
    Send ("{SHIFTDOWN}")
    Sleep(10)
    Send ("k")
    Sleep(10)
    Send ("{SHIFTUP}")
    Send ("{CTRLUP}")
EndFunc

I get the same effect with _WinAPI_Keybd_Event()

Func listary()
    _WinAPI_Keybd_Event(0x11, 0) ;
    _WinAPI_Keybd_Event(0x12, 0) ;
    _WinAPI_Keybd_Event(0x4B, 0) ;

    _WinAPI_Keybd_Event(0x4B, 2) ;
    _WinAPI_Keybd_Event(0x12, 2) ;
    _WinAPI_Keybd_Event(0x11, 2) ;

    Sleep(100)
    Send ("Typeme")

EndFunc

What to do ?

Try re-sending the ctrl and or shift. It might getting stuck.

FIGURED IT OUT !! Problem was about priority / rights. The applications launched had administrative rights. autoit.exe didn't. So maybe the keys autoit was sending were captured by these apps and not allowed to go anywhere.. guessing.

Opened autoit folder > right click autoit(x64).exe > compatibility > all users > run  as administrator . ok ok . close running scripts and start them.

Now    Send ("^+k") works
