Recommended Posts

Before using this code:

RegWrite("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run","My Script","REG_SZ","C:/My Script.exe")

in my script i wanna know, is this code deletes this, what i wrote with RegWrite:

RegDelete ( "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run", "My Script" )

I just dont want any risks...

If my reading of the helpfile is correct it should work.

It will work, but your script should throw errors if you run the exe ever:

This:

RegWrite("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run","My Script","REG_SZ","C:/My Script.exe")

Should Probably be

RegWrite("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run","My Script","REG_SZ","C:\My Script.exe")

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

It's only a little typing-mistake, but would it work on Windows 98 Second Edition too?

I would expect it to work from Win95 upto winXP.
