Office 2016

Recommended Posts

Hy,

i am quite Aware, that this Question must have been asked a 1000 times and more but I can not find it the Forum!?!?!?

We are using Office 2016 Keys, but unfortunatly no multivolume Keys.  Even more unfortunate, no one kept track of the Serials that were used.

So when we try to reinstall a Computer, we loose the Serial Key.

As in the folling example, there must be a way to readout the Serial key.

But how?!

I have used OCS for a while in a previous life to track Hard-/Software inventory and used this VBS to get the MS information:

I am Sorry,

your right, i should have made it more Clear. The VBS script works, but it wont get you the real Key, the key that is returned, is not the Serial Key, you have entered.

Its something diffrent.

Lets Say, the Serial Key you entered would have been 12345-abcde-67890-fghij-12345

Read out with the scripts : dfdjf-73453-dfgfgf-23452-sdd23

Which means what ever the Script reads its not the actual key. not even close.

additonal:

actually, its what my own script allready does. Its how you would read out a Office 2013 key.

I'm not sure how to script it, but if you just need a way to get this information from any utility - I'd recommend ProduKey from the free NirSoft utilities.
