orbs Posted March 1, 2019 Share Posted March 1, 2019 is it at all possible to have my AutoIt script listen to HTTP requests, and then respond to them? i don't need the full functionality of a web server, and i prefer not to have one installed, if i can do that inside my script. to clarify, i know how to submit HTTP requests - i'm talking about the other end here. SlackerAl Posted March 4, 2019 Share Posted March 4, 2019 (edited) This is a quick hack around of the TCP help files to reply with some http 1.1. I've only checked it in a local browser (Chrome) and it seems to work OK. expandcollapse popupOpt('MustDeclareVars', 1) #include <MsgBoxConstants.au3> Example() Func Example() TCPStartup() OnAutoItExitRegister("OnAutoItExit") Local $sIPAddress = "127.0.0.1" Local $iPort = 65432 Local $iListenSocket = TCPListen($sIPAddress, $iPort, 100) Local $iError = 0 If @error Then $iError = @error MsgBox(BitOR($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, $MB_ICONHAND), "", "Could not listen, Error code: " & $iError) Return False EndIf Local $iSocket = 0 Do $iSocket = TCPAccept($iListenSocket) If @error Then $iError = @error MsgBox(BitOR($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, $MB_ICONHAND), "", "Could not accept the incoming connection, Error code: " & $iError) Return False EndIf Until $iSocket <> -1 Local $sReceived = TCPRecv($iSocket, 2048) Local $sBody = "<!DOCTYPE html> " $sBody &= '<html lang="en"> ' $sBody &= "<head> " $sBody &= '<link rel="shortcut icon" href="about:blank">' $sBody &= '<meta charset="utf-8"> ' $sBody &= "<title>A simple webpage</title> " $sBody &= "</head> " $sBody &= "<body> " $sBody &= "<h1>Simple webpage</h1> " $sBody &= "<p>Hello, world!</p> " $sBody &= "</body> " $sBody &= "</html> " Local $sHead = "HTTP/1.1 200 OK" & @CRLF $sHead &= "Content-Type: text/html; charset=utf-8 " & @CRLF $sHead &= "Content-Length:" & StringLen($sBody) & @CRLF $sHead &= "Connection: keep-alive " & @CRLF $sHead &= "Cache-Control: s-maxage=300, public, max-age=0 " & @CRLF $sHead &= "Content-Language: en-US " & @CRLF $sHead &= "Date: Thu, 04 Feb 2019 11:55:18 GMT " & @CRLF $sHead &= 'ETag: "2e77ad1dc6ab0b53a2996dfd4653c1c3" ' & @CRLF $sHead &= "Server: meinheld/0.6.1 " & @CRLF $sHead &= "Strict-Transport-Security: max-age=63072000 " & @CRLF $sHead &= "X-Content-Type-Options: nosniff " & @CRLF $sHead &= "X-Frame-Options: DENY " & @CRLF $sHead &= "X-XSS-Protection: 1; mode=block " & @CRLF $sHead &= "Vary: Accept-Encoding,Cookie " & @CRLF $sHead &= "Age: 7 " & @CRLF & @CRLF TCPSend($iSocket, $sHead & $sBody) TCPCloseSocket($iListenSocket) TCPCloseSocket($iSocket) Example() EndFunc ;==>Example Func OnAutoItExit() TCPShutdown() ; Close the TCP service. EndFunc ;==>OnAutoItExit To test this, run the AutoIT. In a browser 127.0.0.1:65432 and you should get a hello world web page served up. Some points: 1) The default behaviour for browsers is to make a second request for the favicon.ico file, which you can see I have prevented in the html header section with a blank link. 2) The HTTP head needs to be separated from the content by a blank line, hence the double @CRLF 3) You can see the browser page request in $sReceived (not used), you can use this to decide what to serve back. 4) Be aware that if you get more fancy and start using css etc. The browser will request the css as a separate request, you cannot serve it the whole page and all the page resources in one hit. You will need to trap the requests and respond accordingly. HTH Al Edit: In case you are wondering, that HTTP header data is just a straight rip from some random online source, it can probably be reduced in size etc. And yes, I should change that variable name from $sBody to $sContent.... SlackerAl Posted March 8, 2019 Share Posted March 8, 2019 If you Msgbox $sReceived from my script you will be able to see how the browser forms its requests.
