Error in Line xyz - say where?

Recommended Posts

Hi @ll,

A typo in one of my UDF's  caused the compiled script to throw an error window, saying Error in Line 1573.
How do I find Line XYZ? My 'main' code is only 269 Lines long. All my functions are at the beginning as includes.

If I use:  Type *.au3 > all.txt , I get one file in alphabetic order of the *.au3 files, but that is not the way the includes
are in the script. Is there a way to write or create a txt file that is the way the compiler puts it together so I cold
find the Line the error msg is talking about?

Thanks for any advice.

If you have the full Scite4AutoIt3 installed on your version of SciTe, then you can add this directive to your script.

#Au3Stripper_Parameters= /MO

This will output an .au3 file with all of the used includes, and all of your script into one file.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.
