AutoIt Latest Upgrade causing programs to Hang - (Moved)

Recommended Posts

We installed the latest upgrade of AutoIt from March 2018 and all of our programs are hanging in the middle, sometimes on arrays.  Does anyone know what we might be doing wrong? Are we missing something? We deleted the previous version and did a complete reinstall and it is still happening.

Laurie25K,

Welcome to the AutoIt forums - and sorry that you are having problems. Which version of AutoIt did you download (the @AutoItVersion macro will tell you) and did you download it from anywhere other then here?

Can you post one of the scripts that isn't working correctly? Or at least one that shows the issue?

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

The production version we are running that executes normally is 3.3.12.0.  The upgrade was installed fresh from your web site and is Version 3.3.14.5.  The code around where it is hanging:

if _IEFormElementCheckboxSelect ($oForm, 0, "", 1, "byIndex") = 0 Then   This first CheckBox is executing correctly
LogErr("Could not set Practice Check box")
        $LStat = "ERROR"
        Return
    endif
    Sleep(2000)

LogErr("after checkbox1")                                                                                       This line is executing and correctly puts the text in the log file.

if _IEFormElementCheckboxSelect ($oForm, 2, "", 1, "byIndex") = 0 Then      This is the statement that is hanging the job and no checkbox is clicked.
LogErr("Could not set Address Check box")
        $LStat = "ERROR"
        Return
    endif
    Sleep(2000)
LogErr("after checkbox3")                                                                                        The code never gets to here

You claim that the script is getting stuck on this line. Does the LogErr immediately following this line get executed?

Do you encounter any issues when running the examples scripts for _IEFormElementCheckboxSelect from the help file?
