BrewManNH
Why don't you just use the Run (ShellExecute in this case) command to run the MSI instead of using Send? Send is usually the last thing to try to automate something. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. BrewManNH
Dog eat your help file? 😁 Open the help file, look for ShellExecute, look at the examples given, work out how to code your requirement. That's how this programming stuff works. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Earthshine
it's easier to look it up in the registry for the uninstall string and execute that 64 bit \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall 32 bit \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall those are where your GUID will be found, depending upon what bitness it is, 32 or 64. under the matching GUID you will find UninstallString--that string is what you what to ShellExecute as administrator Edited May 10, 2019 by Earthshine My resources are limited. Earthshine
JNot working? Post the code that doesn’t work. Seems like you are asking for code and not trying to me with those LAZY responses. My response to to you is that your effort is not working. Edited May 13, 2019 by Earthshine My resources are limited.
