put focus on a tab

If the tabs have Alt key shortcuts you can Send("!f") or whatever.

Or I count how many tab key hits it takes to land the tabs and 3 tabs to the left so Send("{TAB 5}{LEFT 3}").

You could get a handle to the tab and then ControlSend {LEFT} or {RIGHT} untill you land on the tab you want to be focused.

Example:

;Top of script
$TabHandle = ControlGetHandle(AutoItWinGetTitle(), "", 3)

;Anywhere needed to activate a tab
ControlSend($TabHandle, "", 3, "{LEFT}")
