Simpel
Hi, I have a curious error. At work we have a lot of network drives. My home drive is H:\. If I try _AD_Open() there then I get error: 4 -2147024843. If I start the same from netdrive P:\ everything is fine. How can this happen? Simpel
Wow, same issue with this: Local $adocn = ObjCreate("ADODB.Connection") | $adocn.open - Error: -2147352567 and this: Local $oHTTP = ObjCreate("Microsoft.XMLHTTP") | $oHTTP.Send() - Error: -2147352567 and this: Local $object = ObjCreate("Shell.Explorer.2") | _IENavigate($object, …) - Error: "Navigation to the webpage was cancelled" and this: _WinHttpSimpleReadData($vRequest) - Error: 2 All my programs with commands like above fail at network drive H:\ but work at network drive P:\. Simpel
P.S. I got a "new" windows profile this morning in preparation to change from win7 to win10. There was a change to another domain too. "But the user shouldn't recognize something." P.P.S. All programs running from an external hard drive too. Simpel Edited May 17, 2019 by Simpel P.P.S. BrewManNH
Maybe post some code other than a single line would help? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. water
Do your admins limit the paths from where you can run applications (application directory whitelisting) or use Applocker to enforce black- or whitelists? Simpel
@BrewManNH: that's the whole code: #include <AD.au3> _AD_Open() @Melba23: strange, I‘m sure I chose this forum. But my FF let fonts look dirty today and at IE I couldn’t select „remember me“ at login. IE behaved strange too as I tried to navigate to create a new topic. So thanks for placing the thread. (At which topic was it posted first? EDIT: I now remember „technical discussion“. And that because the arrow at „help and support“ to unfold the subforums didn’t appear and so I thought „technical discussion“ is a subforum.) @water: Not that it was intended. There is a known limit since some years that *.chm-Files as used for AutoIt-help are not allowed to start from network drives. And a colleague with the same incident (all win10 testers were forced by mistake to login with win10 credentials on win7 today) could copy my scripts and run from their home drive H:\ successful. But maybe there is a restriction with my account. Do you have a suggestion how to prove that? water
Unfortunately I'm just an ordinary user. But as the problem isn't limited to the AD UDF I'm sure your admins should be able to fix the probem by having a look at the relevant group policy or login script.
