If you want me to run your code you should make it runable. Anyway from what I see, the TimerInit () at the end of the While loop doesn't make sense. I did a ton more research and found out a way to use TrayItemGetState() for my needs. Thanks so much for all of your insight and getting me guided in the right direction. Cheers!
