@failingprogrammer. without getting into all the back story (which we don't really need), in answer to your question, it depends on what you want to do. There are a lot of scripts you can write where you can get by with the most minimal of math skills. Not sure what kind of "wonky" stuff that you're looking to do specifically, but I would define first what you want to accomplish, and then if you find specific math skills required to get you to your goal you can search online for resources. It just isn't possible to say "learn this level of math for every possible programming situation".

I'm a software engineer and I don't use any wonky math for anything. as long as you can program loops and use index and counters you should be fine. Programming is Logic based though, so having a logical mind helps
