Bandwidth control?

I was sitting here, after downloading countless programs to check in/outgoing bandwidth, but none of them suits me!. So i started thinking can autoit somehow figure out what your current upload/downloading speed?. If i recall theres a process in windows that already has the information for example that you are currently downloading in 521kb/s and uploading in 213kb/s. Is there any way to get ahold of this info?

Maybe my question is a bit off, but i hope someone understands

Just a simple program im trying to make that shows your current download and upload speed.
