Hello,

I want to fill input fields on a website.

Values are successfully written.

But if an other input is clicked, the filled one is deleted.

Any help

#include <IE.au3>

$Url = "https://www.myhermes.de/wps/portal/paket/Home/privatkunden/versenden/paket"

$oIE = _IECreate($Url, 0, 1, 1, 1)

;WinWait("Paketschein erstellen - Internet Explorer",5)

sleep(500)

WinSetState ( "Paketschein erstellen", "", @SW_MAXIMIZE )

$oForm = _IEFormGetCollection($oIE,2)

;_IELinkClickByText($oForm,"+")

$eLand="Deutschland"

if $eLand<>"Deutschland" then

$oSelect = _IEGetObjById($oForm, "parcelclass-cc")

_IEFormElementOptionSelect ($oSelect, $eLand, 1, "byText",1)

$oEvt = $oIE.document.createEvent("HTMLEvents")

$oEvt.initEvent("change", True, False)

$oSelect.dispatchEvent($oEvt)

sleep(1000)

$oForm = _IEFormGetCollection($oIE,1)

for $formid in $oForm

ConsoleWrite($formid.id & @CRLF);

Next

$oFirma = _IEGetObjById($oForm, "parcelclass-HP")

_IEAction ($oFirma, "click")

EndIf

$oFirma = _IEGetObjById($oForm, "senderAddressLastname")
_IEFormElementSetValue($oFirma, "$aNACHNAME")

exit

Here's one way to do it --

#include <IE.au3>

Local $Url = "https://www.myhermes.de/versenden/paketschein-erstellen/"
Local $oIE = _IECreate($Url, 1, 1, 1, 1)

Local $oDocument = _IEDocGetObj($oIE)
Local $oWindow = $oDocument.ParentWindow

$oWindow.setTimeout("document.body.JSeval = eval; ", 0) ; a reference to the eval method

Sleep(2000) ; give a little time to the browser to create above variables within the javascript environment.

Local $JSeval = $oIE.Document.body.JSeval ; a reference to the eval javascript method from within AutoIt

$JSeval('var myinput = jQuery("#senderAddressLastname")[0];')
$JSeval('var nativeInputValueSetter = Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(window.HTMLInputElement.prototype, "value").set;')
$JSeval('nativeInputValueSetter.call(myinput, "NewLastName");')

$JSeval('var ev2 = document.createEvent("Event");')
$JSeval('ev2.initEvent("input", true, true);')
$JSeval('myinput.dispatchEvent(ev2);')
$JSeval('myinput.blur();')

Exit

Note that this is just a Q&D example to demostrate that this is possible to do with Autoit

@Danp2, If I have to modify this to work with FF.au3, does this mean I just send the JS in successive _FFCmd() function calls?

@Danp2 what I'm doing at the moment is something like:

_FFConnect("127.0.0.1", 4242, 60000)

Local $input = _FFXPath("//input[@id='lastName']")
Local $pos = _FFGetPosition($input)

_ArrayDisplay($pos)

MouseClick("left", $pos[0]+5, $pos[1]+102)

_FFDisConnect()

It's a passable workaround for some situations. However, there are two problems with this. One is the fact that I'm manually entering the values "5" (to approximate the X coordinate center of the field) and "102" to account for the browser menu bar. If I can get the browser menu bar width from the browser itself, that would solve the second issue (the 102 value). The field dimensions I'm not so sure of, since websites are usually responsive and I don't want to write code that's optimized for a single screen resolution and browser window dimension.
The second problem is if the button is "below the fold" ie if I have to scroll to make it visible, that throws the entire thing out of gear.

$JSeval('ev2.initEvent("input", true, true);')

$JSeval('myinput.dispatchEvent(ev2);') $JSeval('myinput.blur();')

As in something like this?

Local $Element = '#senderAddressLastname'
Local $InjectValue = "ThisValue"
Local $EvalString1 = 'var myinput = jQuery("' & $Element & '")[0];'
Local $EvalString2 = 'var nativeInputValueSetter = Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(window.HTMLInputElement.prototype, "value").set;'
Local $EvalString3 = 'nativeInputValueSetter.call(myinput, "' & $InjectValue & '");'
Local $EvalString4 = 'var ev2 = document.createEvent("Event");'
Local $EvalString5 = 'ev2.initEvent("input", true, true);'
Local $EvalString6 = 'myinput.dispatchEvent(ev2);'
Local $EvalString7 = 'myinput.blur();'

Local $EvalString = $EvalString1 & $EvalString2 & $EvalString3 & $EvalString4 & $EvalString5 & $EvalString6 & $EvalString7

_FFCmd($EvalString)

Yes... or you could build the string by concatenating into a single variable along the way --

Local $Element = '#senderAddressLastname'
Local $InjectValue = "ThisValue"
Local $EvalString = 'var myinput = jQuery("' & $Element & '")[0];'
$EvalString &= 'var nativeInputValueSetter = Object.getOwnPropertyDescriptor(window.HTMLInputElement.prototype, "value").set;'
$EvalString &= 'nativeInputValueSetter.call(myinput, "' & $InjectValue & '");'
$EvalString &= 'var ev2 = document.createEvent("Event");'
$EvalString &= 'ev2.initEvent("input", true, true);'
$EvalString &= 'myinput.dispatchEvent(ev2);'
$EvalString &= 'myinput.blur();'

_FFCmd($EvalString)

Let us know if this works. Also, I assume you already tried _FFSetValue, correct?

Sorry, @Danp2 I must have missed your message. Yes, I had tried _FFSetValue and it didn't work. The code I pasted above didn't work either.

For the time being I'm using _FFGetPosition to get the XY coordinates of the element, then using MouseClick and Send() for data entry. This works in cases where the field is "above the fold" ie in situations where no scrolling is needed. I've been trying to write a function for it to be able to do the same in cases where scrolling is required Here:
