Good day,

I use FileSelectFolder and on selecting a Folder, I cannot be sure if it contains the image files (.jpg) I am looking for!

This is my script:

#include <Array.au3>
#include <ColorConstants.au3>
#include <Crypt.au3>
#include <File.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <MsgBoxConstants.au3>

#include <String.au3>

Choisir()

Func Choisir()

    Local Const $sMessage = "Please, Select a Folder to Copy and Analyze:"

   Global $sFileSelectFolder = FileSelectFolder($sMessage, "",10,@ScriptDir)

    If @error Then
        MsgBox($MB_SYSTEMMODAL, "", "No folder was selected.")
        Exit
    Else
        $bb=MsgBox(4100, "", "You chose the following Folder:" & @CRLF & $sFileSelectFolder)
        If $bb=7 then Choisir()
    EndIf

EndFunc

You could use FileOpenDialog + @WorkingDir although you would need to select at least one file.

#include <FileConstants.au3>

Example()

Func Example()
    Local Const $sMessage = "Select a single file of any type."
    Local $sFileOpenDialog = FileOpenDialog($sMessage, @ScriptDir & "\", "JPG (*.jpg)", $FD_FILEMUSTEXIST)
    If @error Then
        FileChangeDir(@ScriptDir)
    Else
        MsgBox(4096, "", "You chose the following folder:" & @CRLF & @WorkingDir)
    EndIf
EndFunc

SASL,

Take a look at my ChooseFileFolder UDF (the link is in my sig) as it allows you to search for specific file types within your directory tree.

Thanks Guys,

The solution of Subz is the shortest and works good.
