Recommended Posts

Hi,

Currently i am using WPS office(Previous as kingsoft).  I am tryting to convert a textfile content into a new excel sheet. Below code should work, but when i run the script it open the dialogbox for file chosing and then do nothing.

Does <Excel.au3> support WPS office?

#include <File.au3>
#include <Excel.au3>

Opt("MustDeclareVars", 1)

Global $oExcel, $sFilePath, $Default_Folder, $File_Type
Global $Result, $sDelimiter

$oExcel = _Excel_Open()
$sDelimiter = @Tab
$Default_Folder = "C:\Autoit\"
$File_Type = "Text (*.txt)"
$sFilePath = FileOpenDialog("Find File", $Default_Folder, $File_Type, $FD_FILEMUSTEXIST)
If $sFilePath = "" Then
        MsgBox($MB_ICONWARNING, "Error", "No file chosen")
        Exit
EndIf
#$Result = _Excel_BookOpenText($oExcel, $sFilePath, $sDelimiter)
$Result = _Excel_BookOpenText($oExcel, $sFilePath, 1, Default, $xlTextQualifierDoubleQuote, False, @Tab, Default, Default, Default, True)
#$Result = _Excel_BookOpenText($oExcel, $sFilePath, $iStartRow = 1, $iDataType = Default, $sTextQualifier = $xlTextQualifierDoubleQuote, $bConsecutiveDelimiter = False, $sDelimiter = "'", $aFieldInfo = "", $sDecimalSeparator = Default, $sThousandsSeparator = Default, $bTrailingMinusNumbers = True, $iOrigin = Default)

Hi,

Sorry, i should mentioned. i got both wps in A machine and Microsoft Excel in B machine. Both behave differently.

With the completely same AutoIt script

on A machine the WPS sheet would not open at all
on B machine Excel could be open, but it do nothing(which i am debugging))

I guess WPS office not completely support on certain library using <Excel.au3>

WPS might be compatible with Microsoft Office. But just on the file format level. Not on the API (COM) level which is used by the Excel and Word UDF.
