megabytez Posted March 11, 2021 Share Posted March 11, 2021 Hi everyone, I am very new to AutoIT, so I would really appreciate your help with my scripting issue :) I'm trying to find a way to read a simple text (character name) in a game. So basically what I want my script to do is to look for the name "meepmoopmeow" from a specific fifixed window location. And if it doesn't find it, call Exit. Here's a screenshot of the text image. Is this possible? Which function should I use to read the text? I have tried WinGetText but it did not recognised the texts (duh!). I have read about the use of OCR such as Tesseract to read texts from images but the problem is I might be sending the script other Non IT people who will not have Tesseract application.
