closing a MSgBox

Recommended Posts

I specify a MsgBox with no timeout, so it stays displayed.

A little while later in the script, I want to close it "manually". How do I do this? I think it must be do-able using the option hwnd parameter to MsgBox, but I can't seem to get it right. Any help gratefully received.

Thanks!

MsgBox is a "blocking" function. This means your scripts waits until the specified time has expired or the user clicks a button of the MsgBox.

So you won't get to this part of your script before the above has happened!

You can use the Run command with the parameter /AutoIt3ExecuteLine (see help file there is an exact example of what you could do).

You can then close it whenever you want to since it is another process that you have launched.

ps. cat beat me, where is @seadoggie01 when we need him ;)
