Recommended Posts

Hello guys, i'm trying to create this script and now I need a HotKey to enable/disable some button.

Ex: Imagine the program totally minimized and I can press F4 to start and F8 to Exit.

Can u guys help me ?

#RequireAdmin
#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
#include <Misc.au3>

Global $ProgramScreen    = GUICreate("ProgramScreen", 450, 350, -1, -1)
Global $Start            = GUICtrlCreateButton("Start", 8, 256, 147, 65)
Global $Stop             = GUICtrlCreateButton("Stop", 272, 256, 155, 65)
GUICtrlSetFont(-1, 8, 800, 0, "MS Sans Serif")

Global $aAccelKeys[3][2] = [["F4", $Start], ["F8", $Stop]]
GUISetAccelerators($aAccelKeys)
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

$dll = DllOpen("user32.dll")
Sleep(200)

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Start
            While 1
                Sleep ( 10 )
                If _IsPressed("01", $dll) Then
                    Sleep ( 200 )
                    MouseMove (1755, 265, 2)
                    ExitLoop
                EndIf
            WEnd

            While 1
                Sleep (10)
                If _IsPressed("01", $dll) Then
                    Sleep ( 300 )
                    MouseMove (753, 563, 1)
                    ExitLoop
                EndIf
            WEnd
        Case $Stop
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

DllClose($dll)

Func myExit()
   MsgBox(0,"Stopping ProgramScreen", "ProgramScreen is Closing")
   Exit
EndFunc

In advance :

Shouldn't it be

Global $aAccelKeys[2][2] = [["{F4}", $Start], ["{F8}", $Stop]]

instead of

Global $aAccelKeys[3][2] = [["F4", $Start], ["F8", $Stop]]

I'm not 100% sure, but I think accelerators don't work with minimized windows 🤔.

Bueno & Musashi,

Remarks

Accelerator keys are similar to HotKeys, but there are 2 important differences:

    - 1. They are only active when the GUI specified in the function is active which means that, unlike HotKeys, Accelerator keys will not interfere with other running applications.

So they will not work in a minimized window.

Thank you, it works perfectly.

Glad to hear that :).

I guess that the script is just a shortened test version. Anyway, here are some more notes :

  • Why does your script uses #RequireAdmin ?
  • The flow of the script (in particular "Case $Start") seems a bit 'unwieldy' to me. First you need to click the start button. The next click with the right mouse button moves the cursor outside the GUI. Clicking again at this position puts the GUI into the background.
  • You have your own function myExit(), but you don't use it.

As long as you are satisfied with the process, everything is fine, of course. Otherwise, you could provide a more detailed description of what you are trying to accomplish. Perhaps the process can be optimized.
