@PHAK You should also pay attention to the Remarks from the help :

Remarks

Some directory attributes can make the deletion impossible, therefore if this is the case look at FileSetAttrib() to change the attributes of a directory.

@PHAK : Additional note :

DirRemove also fails, if a file inside the folder is currently in use by an application that sets a FileLock.

However, not all applications will lock files that they have in use (this can make things a bit tricky ;)) .

Notepad, for example, does not lock open files (-> DirRemove is successful).

Contrary to this, OpenOffice, for example, will lock open files (-> DirRemove fails).

To check, if a file is locked by another application, you can use the function _WinAPI_FileInUse
