Keypress Sounds (script lagging) - (Locked)

Recommended Posts

Hey there, I'm pretty sure most of you have noticed the fancy beep sounds in hacker movies when they type something on their keyboards.

call me crazy but I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!

So I went ahead and tried to write a small script to play a beep sound every time I press a key.

I've sorted it into 4 different sounds. 1 for most letter keys and symbols, another one for Enter key, one for the escape key and one for special keys like numlock, function keys and so on.

Well it works. I'm using a very short .wav sound file that I edited to be as short as possible with no gaps.

BUT it's slow.. Keys are being sent much slower than before, especially when I hold down a key.

I can type very fast so I want it to react immediately. What I don't understand, I'm using the Autoit Function "_SoundPlay"

I also tried the normal SoundPlay function and I still don't know the difference between them xD

And there's a parameter called "wait" which tells the function to either wait for the sound file to finish playing before it goes over to the next command or ignore it and (actually) play the sound file but just go on no matter if it's still playing. But this exactly doesnt seem to work. I have a delay after each key press before the key is actually written down in notepad or whatever.

How can I fix this? script attached.
