VarGetType return object but IsObj return 0

Recommended Posts

https://www.example-code.com/autoit/parse_microsoft_json_date.asp  <=  [(AutoIt) Parse a Microsoft JSON Date (MS AJAX Date)]
Now If you run the above code from the link given

You will see

Local $oDtObj = $oDt.GetDtObj($bLocal)
__WhatIsThis($oDtObj)

; #FUNCTION# =============================================================================
; Name...........: __WhatIsThis
; ========================================================================================
Func __WhatIsThis($o_Object)
    ConsoleWrite('VarGetType() ' & @Tab & VarGetType($o_Object) & @CRLF)

    ConsoleWrite('IsBinary ' & @Tab & IsBinary($o_Object) & @CRLF)
    ConsoleWrite('IsBool ' & @Tab & @Tab & IsBool($o_Object) & @CRLF)
    ConsoleWrite('IsDllStruct ' & @Tab & IsDllStruct($o_Object) & @CRLF)
    ConsoleWrite('IsFloat ' & @Tab & IsFloat($o_Object) & @CRLF)
    ConsoleWrite('IsHWnd ' & @Tab & @Tab & IsHWnd($o_Object) & @CRLF)
    ConsoleWrite('IsInt ' & @Tab & @Tab & IsInt($o_Object) & @CRLF)
    ConsoleWrite('IsNumber ' & @Tab & IsNumber($o_Object) & @CRLF)
    ConsoleWrite('IsObj ' & @Tab & @Tab & IsObj($o_Object) & @CRLF)
    ConsoleWrite('Isptr ' & @Tab & @Tab & Isptr($o_Object) & @CRLF)
EndFunc

Console output:

VarGetType()    Object
IsBinary    0
IsBool      0
IsDllStruct 0
IsFloat     0
IsHWnd      0
IsInt       0
IsNumber    0
IsObj       0
Isptr       0

As you see VarGetType return object but IsObj return 0  :huh:

You can use @mLipok chilkatau3-udf for this

It is related to the fact that Chilkat component internally wants to create object and is not able because my UDF does not require registering object.
If you register Chilkat ActiveX component (register DLL) then the problem will gone.

Here are similar issues which I asked on stackoverflow:

Don't know
if _WinAPI_LoadLibraryEx  or  @trancexx  Subrogation
will work on such occasion :unsure:

try @trancexx  _SetProperty  method on $oDt ( <= that is Chilkat_9_5_0.CkDateTime )

get

GetDtObj => $iDispId: 115    ;~ ok

but fail at Invoke as  $iRet return: 0x80020003

try $VT_DISPATCH but still failed

Const $VT_DISPATCH = 0x0009
$tVar.vt = $VT_DISPATCH

Is trying to solve this pointless? :ermm: as it cant be done.
