zoom with webdriver on chrome

I need to zoom on chrome in the responsive manner if that makes sense. I found "_WD_ExecuteScript($sSession, "document.body.style.zoom='4';")" but it doesn't zoom the way I need. Basically I need to zoom so the screen goes into cell phone display, the same way you use a touchpad and spread your fingers out diagonally. This code here just zooms in and makes things larger.

OK, with "responsive" in web building, basically the website adjusts to the format of the screen you're on, things disappear, move, adjust based on the css responding. I don't know if it's my laptop and chrome, but when I zoom in on chrome it doesn't just make the image bigger, the display changes as if I was browsing on a tablet->smaller tablet->large cell phone->smaller cell phone and so on. I want the webdriver to zoom as my native chrome zooms. As it is now, with the code I found, the webdriver just zooms in making everything bigger and "blowing out" the screen.

Image 1 is me zooming on chrome, everything is still proportional, some links are removed and such. Image 2 is webdriver zooming in, things get discombobulated.

EDIT: just a single laptop and screen, win10. Latest chrome and driver.

The developer mode extension is turned off, and I don't have dev mode active on the screen....I do use dev mode from time to time, but I wouldn't think that that would cause the browser to always function as if it is open IF that is what causes this.

FWIW, I know there are ways to launch the browser via the webdriver so that the portal mimics a particular size / device.

And the particular size would give me what I'm looking for, not just zoomed in? How do I do that?

Get Opera browser and save to PDF and zoom in ?

I'll delete the attachment after a day or so. But it gives you an example ?
Get a 17 in laptop ?
I'm out of ideas ?

Edit: use this chrome ext. ( https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/custom-page-zoom/jodiabicmogcbbiocceenmeflipeelle?hl=en )

Edit2: ..hmmm, device emulation. Ok, I guess I should read the thread before posting :)

I think that you want to get/set device pixel ratio.

It is easy to get current pixel ration using: _WD_GetDevicePixelRatio
But if you need to set it you must to use KEYBOARD or just send keys to the window with AutoIt, and check if the ratio is correct.
