User Abbrev not working

Good morning, I want to use some user abbreviations because they look very useful. But my problem is that I can't get it to work. I tried using Abbrev Manager where I successfully created a new entry. But when I type the Abbrev, the color doesn't change and after I hit the spacebar, it doesn't convert to the text that's in the Abbrev manager. I looked in the file "\AppData\Local\AutoIt v3\SciTE\au3.keywords.user.abbreviations.properties" where the abbreviation says: "au3.keywords.
