tbodine88
I use a Edit Box to enter text into a log But when I reach the right edge the text isn't wrapped, so I must wrap it my self by adding new lines Is it possible to get the lines wrapped in some way? Should I use another GUI object? Thanks editTest.au3 tbodine

tbodine88
Thanks for that, I had that on the "history" edit but not the "entry" edit box. but I'd prefer that the Edit box would add new lines at 79 characters like VIM does. when I set it. tbodine
Nine
You could GUIRegisterMsg $WM_COMMAND and in the WinProc on the $EN_CHANGE notification, calculate the number of characters between @CRLF and add it when necessary. “They did not know it was impossible, so they did it” ― Mark Twain Spoiler Block all input without UAC Save/Retrieve Images to/from Text Monitor Management (VCP commands) Tool to search in text (au3) files Date Range Picker Virtual Desktop Manager Sudoku Game 2020 Overlapped Named Pipe IPC HotString 2.0 - Hot keys with string x64 Bitwise Operations Multi-keyboards HotKeySet Recursive Array Display Fast and simple WCD IPC Multiple Folders Selector Printer Manager GIF Animation (cached) Screen Scraping Multi-Threading Made Easy
tbodine88
Since The control doesn't have the ability to wrap words. I wrote this to wrap words after the text is pulled from the control. Func wordWrap( $string, $linelength=79) ;Wrap Lines on spaces $chopped = StringSplit($string," ") $thisLine = "" $paragraph = "" for $i = 1 to UBound($chopped) -1 if Not (StringRight($thisLine,1) = " ") Then $thisLine = $thisLine & " " EndIf $thisLine = $thisLine & $chopped[$i] & " " if (StringLen($thisLine) > $linelength) Then $paragraph = $paragraph & $thisLine & @CRLF $thisLine = "" EndIf Next $string = $paragraph & $thisLine Return $string EndFunc tbodine
