Hi;

I'm new to AutoIT.

Man AutoIT has it over VB scripting like a tent! I replicated all of my VB functionality and imporved on it greatly. Now I need to write to the "Event Log" at given times in my Script.

Question Is there are any Code snippets out there or barring that any direction in how to do this. I haven't found anything the AutoIT help file. The Help file, BTW, is the best I've sceen. east to read , well layed out and good examples

TIA

Allan B

Don't think AutoIT itself can do it but check out this link: http://www.freevbcode.com/ShowCode.asp?ID=2656

It is a DLL and using it you should be able to use the AutoIT DLL commands to do it.

Look at this post

http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...ndpost&p=140609

or just search the forum for eventcreate......

Right but you have to have the Support Tools instaled to use that command on a 2000 box and I think the same for XP.
