monte
hello. I am trying to parse a tabbed delimited string into an array using stringsplit(). The tabbed string contains: This is the contents of the clipboard I want to parse element 4 from the array: 'contents'. here's what I've got: #include <array.au3> $vClipboardData=clipget() $vElement=stringsplit(vClipboardData, "") msgbox(0,"my string is:", $vElement[4]) My problem is that I cannot find the "tab" delimiter syntax for the stringsplit function. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

Try this: $vClipboardData=clipget() $vElement=stringsplit($vClipboardData, @TAB) msgbox(0,"my string is:", $vElement[4]) And you don't need #include<array.au3> for this small script.
