anyday
got a quick question. if i open internet explorer and manually type a link that i have a script going to it goes to a different page then the page the script goes to.both urls are the sameim using _IENavigate in the script to goto this urli dont know if its a cookie deal because lets say i goto https://login.mycompany.com in internet explorerit gives me a login and password prompt.well if i exit out of IE and run the script it goes to https://login.mycompany.com but goes to the page after asking for the login. but nowhere in the script do i have it set to login.does it keep its own cookies or something? anyday
the link is just an example even if i gave the real link you would need a login / pass Edited March 28, 2006 by anyday
Confuzzled
Maybe a bit of your code would assist in identifying if the problem is on the script end or the web end.

Moderators big_daddy Posted March 29, 2006 Moderators Share Posted March 29, 2006 Have you tried logging off the webpage before running the script. It does sound like it is logging you in with a cookie.

cdkid
It's probably assigning a cookie with either a) unlimited logins until you click "clear cookies" x number of logins or until you click "clear cookies" So, if you want to have to sign in every time you can make a script that deletes cookies for you, i s'pose. ~cdkid AutoIt Console written in C#. If you don't get the prompt are you getting access to the page as though you had logged in or what?Dale Free Internet Tools: DebugBar, AutoIt IE Builder, HTTP UDF, MODIV2, IE Developer Toolbar, IEDocMon, Fiddler, HTML Validator, WGet, curl MSDN docs: InternetExplorer Object, Document Object, Overviews and Tutorials, DHTML Objects, DHTML Events, WinHttpRequest, XmlHttpRequest, Cross-Frame Scripting, Office object model Automate input type=file (Related) Alternative to _IECreateEmbedded? better: _IECreatePseudoEmbedded Better Better?
