If you've downloaded auotit, you can go to:

Start >> All Programs >> AutoIt v3 >> Auto Window Info

Or

C:\Program Files\AutoIt3 ... AU3Info.exe

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

I am sure there is one... JPM (Moderator) is French...

Welcome to the forums... Good Luck.

Sorry, i don't think there is a French help file available. I didn't see one in the multilanguage download documentation. Maybe you should see if you can inspire someone on the forum to do a translation.

Opt("MouseCoordMode", 0)       ;1=absolute, 0=relative to active window, 2=client
$pos = MouseGetPos()
MsgBox(0, "Mouse x,y:", $pos[0] & "," & $pos[1])

As for doing it for inactive windows, you should just use the WinActivate () function. That will make any window that isn't currently active the active window. Then you can use the script to get the current mouse position relative to that window.

Ex

WinActivate("Untitled - Notepad"); sets an untitled notepad window as the active window
Opt("MouseCoordMode", 0)       ;1=absolute, 0=relative to active window, 2=client
$pos = MouseGetPos()
MsgBox(0, "Mouse x,y:", $pos[0] & "," & $pos[1])

"So man has sown the wind and reaped the world. Perhaps in the next few hours there will no remembrance of the past and no hope for the future that might have been." & _"All the works of man will be consumed in the great fire after which he was created." & _"And if there is a future for man, insensitive as he is, proud and defiant in his pursuit of power, let him resolve to live it lovingly, for he knows well how to do so." & _"Then he may say once more, 'Truly the light is sweet, and what a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to see the sun.'" - The Day the Earth Caught Fire
